2024 Topps Pro Debut Honest Review- Should You Buy?

2024 Topps Pro Debut: a budget collector’s Bowman. These boxes have an incredible dollar per auto rate, and contain many prospects. So, are these boxes worth buying? Before that, let me breakdown the product for you.

First of all, the checklist, odds, and best players are here.

Next, a basic explanation of the boxes. They only come in 2 variations – Hobby and Jumbo. Hobbies ($100) have 4 autos, and Jumbos ($120) have 3. However, Jumbos are still more expensive than hobbies (reason explained here).

So, without further ado, here is the box review.

Set Rating: 3/10

There are so many players in this set, many never to see the big leagues. It also has only prospects, so you won’t find any MLB stars. The only redeeming quality is that it has current mlb star rookies, for example this year it has Paul Skenes.

Hit Quantity: 6/10

Both the hobby and the jumbo get a decent amount of hits, in a jumbo about 1 per pack. This mixed with the unlikelihood of the hits being good players makes it a slightly above average ranking.

Card Quantity: 6/10

Every box, you get around 150 cards, giving it an ok rating.

Card Quality: 3/10

There are two types of card qualities in Pro Debut: paper, and chrome. Paper cards are very low quality, and the chrome cards are higher, averaging out to a 3.

Card Resell: 4/10

In the second hand market, these cards are a reputable buy and investment but still seen as lower quality and cheaper.

Price: 9/10

These boxes are incredibly cheap for the amount of autos and hits you get. Both are very affordable, and one of the few products Fanatics hasn’t jacked up in price.

Overall Rating: 5/10

2024 Topps Pro Debut gets a five. The large checklist, lower quality cards, lower resell price, and the incredible price value make it a middle of the road product.

Should I Buy Pro Debut Boxes?

These boxes are relatively niche. If you are looking for prospects only, and want a box with more hits and better value than bowman, I would 100% buy these boxes. I would also recommend buying the Jumbo box, because despite having one less auto has much nicer parallels and opening experience.

In conclusion, these are budget boxes that are great for prospectors, but give much lower quality cards and resell prices.
